Rose betting on airlines to deliver

Monday, when the Cougars leave for ACC country, they’ll be counting on a direct flight to North Carolina to deliver them in a timely manner. He knows he is taking a gamble.

The Cougars will practice on Monday in the Marriott Center because all the support staff is present and he has access to all of BYU basketball facilities. He wants to avoid any layovers in airports that might take him out of Monday practice at Wake Forest.

To do this, he’s scheduled an afternoon direct flight to Raleigh where he hopes there are no hangups and he gets the team to the hotel about 11 to 12 in the evening.

“I don’t like the idea of going through Atlanta and catching another flight because anything can happen. You can get delayed or miss a flight.”

Or, as been the case of late, you could be delayed on takeoff from SLC.

Anyway, Rose is trying to plan this one tight and he’s crossing his fingers his preparation will go without flaw.
