Jake Heaps receives official Notre Dame offer

Monday was the first day college recruiters could sent a written scholarship offer to recruits like Washington quarterback Jake Heaps. He was expected to received more than a dozen including one from BYU and Notre Dame.

Heaps, and LDS prospect for the Class of 2010 was orally offered scholarships by Washington, BYU, Washington State, Oregon State, Boise State, Arizona State, Minnesota, Stanford, California, South Carolina and UCLA before the Irish got involved, according to Scout.com.

Reportedly, Heaps will be at the BYU-Washington game on Saturday.
