Collie and other wounded hit practice Wednesday

Austin Collie jammed a finger on his right hand after practice on Tuesday, prompting some work by the head trainer Kevin Morris.

Collie is catching passes just fine today, although I’ve noticed he is flexing his hand and fingers and looking at the hand early in this practice session. While it is unknown, until we talk to him, how it feels, he’s not dropping any passes or performing like it is an issue.

Michael Reed is out working out the kinks. He looks just fine. O’Neil Chambers is returning punts and he looks like his ankle is fine.

Linebacker David Nixon and corner Scott Johnson were on the field working out and doing drills. Both suffered bruises in the Utah State game.

Ever wonder how LaVell Edwards is keeping busy these days? Well, he continues to make all kinds of appearances and does speaking engagements. He also serves on a lot of committees including the on mentioned below.

Edwards is quoted in a piece on Market Watch. Read the story here.
