Two defensive players not practicing

They are reserves but they will not practice or play until they clean up some academic works.

Backup corner G Pittman and defensive lineman Mosese Foketi were not on the field Wednesday and they will not return to practice or play in any games until the work is done, according to Bronco Mendenhall.

Austin Collie, according to Mendenhall, had a dislocated finger Tuesday. “It was reset and he’s ready to go,” said the coach.

In the move with Pittman, this places depth an issue at cornerback. Steve Thomas, who had been playing safety, moved over to corner and Gary Nagy will now backup Brandon Bradley at the field corner spot.

Mendenhall said Thomas is in the same mold as Scott Johnson and last year’s boundary corner Ben Criddle.
