Anae has his hands full
It’s tough to determine which job is tougher for Robert Anae in coming days and weeks: Attacking Utah’s talented defense on Saturday or bringing in the nation’s top linebacker recruit, Manti Teo, from Hawaii.
We’ll know the first before we will the second. The main guy responsible for recruiting Teo, considered the one of top linebacker talents in the nation, is Anae.
Teo lives in Kahuku and travels the hour-long trip to Honolulu to play football and attend school. At Kahuku, the Anae name carries a lot of weight. Teo’s father, like many kids growing up on the north shore, played for Famika Anae, Robert’s father and longtime coach at Kahuku High School.
Anae has traded with other staff members going the long trip to Hawaii but Teo is his responsibility and it is his area.

Also, here is an interesting piece on he rivalry from Graham Watson. Like many, the reference is made to the Holy War. I wish that label would die. Hate it. What would it take for a movement to begin to get folks in the media to stop using that term? Read Watson’s blog here.
